Mei Collection
The MEÏ collection was born from a reflection on the essentials: the right form, expressive materials, and a direct connection to use. Developed using the approach of the VOLTA agency, each piece is conceived as an architectural object, both functional and aesthetically pleasing.
Cork, the central material of the collection, is worked to reveal its texture, density, and natural variations. The volumes are intentionally simple, the proportions precise, allowing the material to express itself without artifice. Each piece of furniture is developed in close collaboration with artisans, with particular attention paid to detail, joinery, and quality of craftsmanship.
Designed to integrate naturally into contemporary or more timeless interiors, the MEÏ collection offers durable, warm and quiet pieces, designed to accompany spaces and uses over time.

The collection in detail
The Meï collection was born from a desire to showcase cork as a material. Known for its widespread and popular use, cork deserves special attention in terms of its aesthetics, construction properties, and environmental benefits. Using cork, the Volta agency, in collaboration with its workshops, developed several compression methods to recycle this material. The resulting patterns revealed the full subtlety of cork. To further enhance its beauty, a range of color variations was developed. The cork is thus bathed and colored, giving it a completely new look.
To emphasize this new material identity, the Volta agency chose to combine cork with velvet and ceramic in each piece of furniture. Four pieces explore the cork/velvet combination in seating. Four pieces explore the cork/ceramic combination in tables. The lines of these eight pieces are deliberately clean and direct, in order to showcase the material as much as possible. Cork is elevated throughout the collection, giving it a touch of elegance.
